INHUS signed a new contract in the UK market

INHUS, a longstanding supplier of design-build projects, announced the signing of a contract for a new project in the north of England, Leeds. This marks the third commercial building that INHUS will design, fabricate, and install for Vastint UK, the international development company behind the Aire Park project in the United Kingdom.

The company will supply the entire design-build superstructure for the seven-story building. All components, including brick facades with final finishes and pre-installed windows, will be manufactured at the factory in Vilnius, Lithuania. This means that upon delivery to the construction site in Leeds, the only step left is to install the elements.

“To optimise project‘s efficiency, reduce waste and overall costs, as well as maximize the thermal performance of the building, our client opted for off-site manufacturing processes for the structure and envelope of the building,” explained Robertas Sprainys, INHUS project manager. “The decision to manufacture the building in a factory will help complete the project faster, saving the client about four months compared to conventional construction methods.”

Having completed the first two buildings in 2023, INHUS plans to start construction on the third building this fall, with completion expected in early 2025.

Vidmantas Šegžda, INHUS sales representative, says that the building will feature modern facade solutions, both in its shape and design. This project will link Leeds city centre to the new district and become a focal point in the master plan. “We are delighted with the ongoing successful collaboration and appreciate the trust shown by our partners at Vastint UK. Contributing to this significant development phase for Leeds is a testament to our reliability and professionalism.”

The project marks the beginning of the second phase of Aire Park. Located on a prominent corner site, the new landmark building will act as a gateway to Aire Park, on the approach from Leeds train station and the city centre. It will offer 10,625 sqm of Grade A office space and 705 sqm of flexible ground floor retail and leisure space. Designed by architects Cartwright Pickard, the building has sustainable construction and occupier wellbeing at its heart.
