15 Jul INHUS secures major Swedish hospital project
Despite facing several challenges in the Swedish market — including a weakened currency and falling apartment prices affecting the construction sector — Lithuanian company INHUS remains confident in its growth prospects.
According to Tadas Raškauskas, Director of Commerce at INHUS, long-term partnerships and client trust are the key drivers of the company’s continued success in Scandinavia. INHUS specialises in the design, manufacture and installation of reinforced concrete and steel structures across Lithuania and the Nordic region.
One of the company’s latest achievements is being entrusted with a significant state-run project in Sweden — the new 35,000-square-metre Ryhov Hospital building. INHUS is responsible for the entire design-build process, from initial planning and engineering to final construction.
“We’ve been working closely with the client for nearly a year, starting from the architectural stage,” Raškauskas explained. “We had to develop efficient solutions that meet strict quality and technical standards, particularly those required for hospital facilities. Only providers with the necessary engineering expertise and experience were eligible to participate in the tender.”
As a design-build project, INHUS takes full responsibility for all phases — offering integrated services that simplify the process for the client. Raškauskas emphasised the company’s goal of creating added value by engaging early in the project, which helps reduce risks, save time and resources, and improve communication.
Construction of the Ryhov Hospital is expected to be completed by the end of this year. The project uses Building Information Modelling (BIM) technology, which supports seamless collaboration among all stakeholders and provides a precise, real-time control system for every stage of development.
INHUS plans to grow its export volumes to €40 million this year, up from €31 million in the previous year.
